A Fresh Start
I trust you all had a fantastic Christmas and holiday season. My Christmas and vacation from work were wonderful. Although I was miles away from my family, God totally had us surrounded by beautiful people who will no doubt be life-long friends. We had great food, thoughtful presents, and lots of fun getting together with like-minded friends. New Year's eve was quite the celebration as well as we got together with friends and had a great time with food, games and shoving 12 grapes in out mouths at the countdown of the last 12 seconds of 2014! Quite funny! I am back to work tomorrow after a two week vacation- I could use a couple more days to recoup from all the festivities but I am excited to get back to work an see everyone!
Now we are at a fresh start to a brand new year with new outlooks, new goals, new mindset, and a clean slate. I am sure you have heard of choosing a word for the new year, one that will help you have a clear focus for the year ahead. Well, I for one, have my word for this year and it is:
c o n f i d e n c e (n.)
The feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust. The state of feeling certain about the truth of something. A feeling of self-assurance arising from one's appreciation of one's own abilities and qualities.
Confidence is something I often lack and is surely one thing I need to grown in this year. As I continue to gain this confidence I believe my attitude, outlook, and mindset will change. I just need to work at it and remember Who my confidence is in. I will be honest, I have my insecurities but I cannot let them hold me back any longer.
I am looking forward to a new year of confidence both personally and in my business. I am exited to meet and serve new clients by sincerely capturing beautiful moments.
What is your word for this year?
What will be different about you if you live out our word?
